THE DESi MUTTON KASA
INGREDIENTs:
Mutton-
700gms
Red Onion-4pcs (medium
size)
Garlic Paste-1 ½ tbs
Turmeric Powder -! ½ tbs
Salt-according to taste
Tomatoes-2 pcs
Green Chili-5 pcs (cut vertically)
Curd-1
½ tsp
Red
Chili Powder-1/2 tsp
Potato
(medium size)-3 pcs
Garam
Masala-2 tsp
Cinnamon
Stick-1 pcs
Cardamom-
4 pcs
Cloves-
5pcs
Mustard
Oil- 4 tsp
Ghee- 1 tsp
HOW TO MAKE THE DESi MUTTON KASA:
Marinate Mutton overnight with Curd (2 Table spoon), Turmeric
Powder (1/2 teaspoon), Mustard Oil (1 Tablespoon),
Chopped Green chili (3), Chopped Tomato (2 medium), Onion paste (1/2 Onion),
Garlic Paste, Salt (1 tea spoon)
Cut Potatoes into four pieces and
chop onion,
Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pressure
cooker. Mix 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder with the cut potatoes. Fry them and keep
aside.
Now, put Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves & chopped onion into the
cooker & fry till it turns brown. Add 1 teaspoon garam masala and
1/2 tea spoon red chili powder. Fry the masala for 2-3 minutes. Then add the
marinated mutton. Mix it well.
Cook it under medium flame for
20-mints till all the water is released. Keep stirring every 4-5 mints and
check that it does not stick at the bottom.
Add 3-4 cups of water. Close the
cooker and let it whistle for 2 times. Cook in medium flame.
Turn off the stove. Wait till all
the pressure is release. Open the cover and add 1 teaspoon of garam masala,
salt to taste, and 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add the fried potatoes. Cover the
cooker & allow for 1 more whistle under low flame.
Turn off the stove. Wait till the
pressure is released.
