POTATO-ONiON CURRY
iNGREDiENTS :
Potatoes- 3 pcs.
Onion- 3 pcs.
Minced Garlic- 2 tsp.
Ripe Tomato- 2 pcs.
Grated Fresh Ginger- 1 tsp.
Green Chili- (Chopped)- 2 pcs.
Coriander Powder- 2 tsp.
Red chili Powder- 1/2 tsp.
Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp.
Bay Leaves- 2 pcs.
Garam Masala Powder- 1/2 tsp.
Cooking Oil- 4 tsp.
Salt- To your test.
Chopped Coriander Leaves- 3 tsp.
HOW TO MAKE POTATO-ONION CURRY :
Wash the potatoes & cut into 4 pieces.Mince the onions & garlic.Mixture should be coarse. Heat cooking oil in a not stick frying pan,add minced onions & garlic and saute.Cook the mixture till all the onion water evaporates.
Put Tomatoes into blender and puree.
Once onions become light brown add coriander powder,red chili powder,turmeric powder. Mix properly with fried onion and fry for few seconds. Add tomato puree.With tomato puree onion masala become watery. Let the water evaporates.Do not forget to stirring the onion masala frequently.within 5-6 mints. tomato puree & onion will blend together.If you find oil in pan,that means msala is done.
Now add chopped potatoes ( you can also fry potatoes before adding to gravy),bay leaves,salt & water- Mix all the ingredients together, cover the pan & cook on medium heat for 20 mints.Keep stirring .
Once potatoes become soft,add grated ginger,chopped green chilies & garam masala powder.Now mix & cook for 5 mints.
Once you have the desired constancy of gravy turn the stove off.
Now its ready to serve.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves & serve.
